Just to report back, I tried it with the old JUKI HLC dongle (protection device), and it didn't work. I wasn't surprised to be fair, HLC is quite old, and the last version (v12.0) was released in 2012. Then I tried to use the Multikey to emulate the dongle. Oh, what a challenge. First of all, I don't know why, but the v1.26 package doesn't have the Multikey driver included, so I also had to download the v1.14. I struggled to get it working, but in the end, on Windows 10, during boot, I disabled driver signature enforcement. This way, I was able to manually install the included Multikey from the v1.14 package. Then I added the registry file from v1.26, and that's it. All works great now. It seems like JaNets is very similar to the old HLC, but a bit more user-friendly and has support for the newer SMT machines.
